The EN 960 full Urethane head forms (covered with a conductor tape) are used for penetration tests.
If durring an impact test the penetration tip damages the head form it should be repaired immediately. Conducting a test with a damaged head form can produce inacurate results. To repaire the head form:

The control box has a wire that conects to the impactor, and another to the bottom of the head form coverd in conductor tape. If the helmet fails completly and there is direct contact between the impactor and the head form the complete circuit will send a signal back to the conrol box. The head form will need to be verified for damage and repaired if needed. |
