Tri-Axis Impact Machine

Rope: Keeps the helmet from hitting the floor after impact. Drop Carriage Basket case: Used for support the helmet during the drop for the impact. Base Auto-retractable syste: When an impact takes place, the auto-retractable system will raise the head form and attached helmet and suspend them in the air. This helps prevent injuries and a second impact to the helmet. Velocimeter (Time Gate): Very precise electronic device that calculates the time it takes for an object to pass in front of an infra-red beam a few millimeters before impact. The time in milliseconds and the length of the object are then used to determine the velocity. Cage: Used to prevent damage to the machine. Height of the Tri-Axis Impact Machine: Width of the base: 12" Depth of the base: 25" Anvil Extension Anvil Remote Control: Can set the height, speed, initiate the test, emergency stop, and activate pre-programmed settings.

When you push this button manually, you can un-tighten the rope (see images above). This function can be operated by the remote control at number 7. When you push this button manually, you can tighten the rope. After the test, the machine looks like number 6.  This function can be operated by the computer. This picture represents the impact test machine before an impact. This picture represents the impact test machine after an impact but before the helmet is in the air.

	The Basket System is used to support the head form during an impact. There are seven balls supporting the head form for the best control possible.
