EN960 Half Headform Magnesium K1A
 |
The half headform Magnesium KIA is currently used in uniaxial impact tests (Z
direction).
|
|
-
Material : Magnesium K1A alloy
-
Sizes: all sizes are available
-
100% CNC machined
-
Testing lines are CNC grooved
-
Complies with ISO/DIS 6220 and EN960 standards.
-
Headform for the EN960:2006 standard is also available.
-
Sizes 495, 515, 535, 575, 605 and 625 are also available.
-
Each headform is shipped with a certificate of calibration, serial number and a
data sheet.
-
The half headform magnesium K1A is calibrated in the center of gravity at the
intersection of the vertical axis.
-
The casting is done with permanent steel moulds, this method eliminates any
contaminants.

CNC grooved testing lines |
The half ISO magnesium K1A headform is identified with reference lines (see
sketch below). These lines are grooved into the headform to provide the end
user with more flexibility to align positions with their products.

All ISO/DIS 6220, EN960 and EN960:2006 sizes are available.
In the table below you will find several different headform sizes. Six sizes
have been selected for our regular products line that we carry in stock at all
times, but it is possible to order other formats.
The sizes of those head forms (i.e. A, C, E, J, M, O) are currently used for
90% of all world standards. All other sizes can be manufactured on request with
only a few days delay dependant on our production schedule.

-
Clamp: The clamp is the holding device that stops the ball arm from
moving and maintains the head form in position during the impact test.
-
4 bolts for clamp to head: Are screwed with the clamp on the head form.
Only 5/16 NC 18 - 1 3/4 inch length bolts should be use to avoid any damage to
the tread in the head form.
-
Accelerometer kit: The accelerometer kit is the assembly of the sensor,
accelerometer, support bed, and cable.
-
Drop carriage /
Flying arm: Is the drop guiding system on the machine that will
maintain the head form and other parts of the drop assembly in the trajectory
of the impact.
-
Ball Arm: The moving joint that connects to the head form to allow for
adjustable positioning. It also has space inside itself for the accelerometer
sensor.
